The LORD JESUS said:
Luke 24:49

49 And, behold,
I send the promise of my Father upon you:
but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem,
until ye be endued with power from on high.
Until we are "endued with power from on high", we cannot see clearly.
Only through this anointing from God will the lessons stick.
Otherwise, we will keep turning away from Him.
Man cannot make us commit.
Only the Holy Spirit of God can.
We need the Spirit of God to anoint us.
Only God's Spirit can help us understand:
-- Scripture.
-- The will of God.
-- The way of Jesus.
-- The way of Spirit.
-- The urgency of the times.
-- The importance of being born again.
By ourselves, we cannot possibly comprehend all that.
Many people will try to convert you to become born again, but unless God Himself sees your utmost surrender, He will not send His Spirit to teach you.
If we are still too much of ourselves -- proud, ambitious, greedy, vain, worldly, egotistic -- God cannot send His Spirit.
The lusts of the flesh cannot conform with the ways of Spirit.
Galatians 5:17
King James Version
17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit,
and the Spirit against the flesh:
and these are contrary the one to the other:
so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
God needs our complete surrender.
Only then will He send His Spirit.
The day God sees you're ready for His Spirit, you will want to become born again ON THE SPOT.
The Holy Spirit will teach you how to become born again.
There will be no hesitation.
The desire will be immediate.
And the Lord's Spirit will set out to work on you right away.
You will be led to Scripture.
You will begin to understand the Word of God.
You will begin to know the path of Jesus, which He carved, so we may follow.
God seeks our humility.
He seeks the sincerity of our hearts.
Are we searching for Him?
Do we have a desire to know who He Is?
Have we given up on what the world taught us, and failed to teach us?
Are we now ready for God's truth, and wisdom?
If we are, you can be sure God will show up.
He has given the task of saving, to His beloved Son.
Here is where you will see the faithfulness of Jesus in His love for God, and His mission for humanity:
John 6:39-40
King James Version
39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me,
that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing,
but should raise it up again at the last day.
40 And this is the will of him that sent me,
that every one which seeth the Son,
and believeth on him,
may have everlasting life:
and I will raise him up at the last day.
If you want eternal life with the Lord, surrender your will to Him.
It's the only surrender that bears real fruit.
Surrendering to the world is disaster.
Surrendering to God is eternal life.
Surrender completely, acknowledge your inability to make sense of things, for we don't have the ability to see the whole picture.
Only God can.
As they say, "Let go, and let God."
The day you surrender, is the day of your freedom.
You will be free from false doctrines.
You will begin to know the TRUE doctrine of the LORD.
You will become a true believe in Jesus.
The Lord awaits your humility.
The Lord Jesus did say:
Matthew 5:5

5 Blessed are the meek:
for they shall inherit the earth.
I can tell you all these things, for I've gone through it myself.
When I renounced all previous knowledge, and sought the Lord for HIS knowledge, there was no looking back.
Only my walk with SPIRIT mattered.
Which continues steadily each day.
For we await the glorious return of the Lord, when He descends from heaven, so His faithful can meet Him up in the air.
That is the most immediate thing to prepare for.
How could have I known that?
Only through Spirit.
