Revelation 12:12

12 Therefore rejoice,
ye heavens,
and ye that dwell in them.
Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea!
for the devil is come down unto you,
having great wrath,
because he knoweth that he hath
but a short time.
Why do battles occur?
Why can't man get along?
SPIRIT, through SCRIPTURE, tells us why.
We disobeyed GOD's first command.
Genesis 2:15-17

15 And the Lord God took the man,
and put him into the garden of Eden
to dress it and to keep it.
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying,
Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil,
thou shalt not eat of it:
for in the day that thou eatest thereof
thou shalt surely die.
Our bloodline has been further defiled.
Genesis 6:1-2

6 And it came to pass,
when men began to multiply on the face of the earth,
and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men
that they were fair;
and they took them wives
of all which they chose.
Causing GREAT displeasure in GOD.
Genesis 6:5
King James Version
5 And God saw
that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth,
and that every imagination
of the thoughts of his heart
was only evil continually.
After the FLOOD, man continued to sin.
Through the following:
PRIDE.
We think like the enemy, trying to outdo GOD.
Proverbs 16:18
King James Version
18 Pride goeth before destruction,
and an haughty spirit before a fall.
GREED.
We aspire for worldly possessions.
Proverbs 1:19
King James Version
19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain;
which taketh away the life of the owners thereof.
HATRED.
The enemy caused us to hate each other.
Proverbs 10:12
King James Version
12 Hatred stirreth up strifes:
but love covereth all sins.
VANITY.
We love looking good in our eyes, and those of others.
Ecclesiastes 2:11
King James Version
11 Then I looked on all the works
that my hands had wrought,
and on the labour that I had laboured to do:
and, behold,
all was vanity and vexation of spirit,
and there was no profit under the sun.
LUST.
We lust for things not of GOD.
1 John 2:16
King James Version
16 For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh,
and the lust of the eyes,
and the pride of life,
is not of the Father,
but is of the world.
DELUSION.
We think we love, but we don't.
1 John 4:20
King James Version
20 If a man say,
I love God, and hateth his brother,
he is a liar:
for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen,
how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
By the GRACE of GOD, we were sufficiently warned by JESUS.
He knew what we would be up against.
John 16:33
King James Version
33 These things I have spoken unto you,
that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer;
I have overcome the world.
This is how we know it is a spiritual battle:
GOD is a SPIRIT.
John 4:24
King James Version
24 God is a Spirit:
and they that worship him
must worship him in spirit and in truth.
The enemy is a spirit.
Ephesians 6:12
King James Version
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,
but against principalities,
against powers,
against the rulers of the darkness of this world,
against spiritual wickedness in high places.
EXPECT all battles, to be of the spirit.
Know the spirit behind battles.
Is it GOD's SPIRIT?
Or is it the enemy's?
